Economist with an interest in economic and operational management
Are you a meticulous and self-driven economist with an interest in economic and operational management? Do you thrive in a varied role where you can work service-oriented and in close collaboration with your colleagues? Then this could be the role for you!
About the position
As two employees have moved on to other positions internally, we now need to strengthen our team with two new economists. You will work with either the Social Administration or the Municipal Executive Administration. The Social Administration is a large department divided into the areas of Care and Support, Functional Support, and Individual and Family Support. If you support this department, it will be within the area of Care and Support. The Municipal Executive Administration largely consists of support functions directed towards the rest of the municipality. In addition to our own finance department, there are also operations such as Communication, HR, Information Supply, and Digitalization.
You will work in close collaboration with the administration, where you together through reconciliations and quality follow-ups monitor the operations. The position includes providing consultative support and service in questions regarding finance, ongoing statistics, budget, as well as interim and annual financial statements. Together with your colleagues, you will develop, streamline, and ensure the quality of economic and operational management. Monitoring the external environment and preparing materials with a proactive forward-looking approach is also part of your assignment. As an economist, you work independently, but in close collaboration with other colleagues in the finance department.
Examples of tasks:
- financial management and resource allocation
- financial investigations and analyses
- budgeting and forecasting
- interim and annual financial statements
- ongoing monthly reports
- investment reporting and follow-up

We operate from newly renovated premises at Åbylunden 1 and offer the opportunity to perform part of the work remotely as well as flexible working hours.
